Meet Eddie Gaviola a resilient individual who grew up in a military family, constantly moving from place to place. Before settling in California, Eddie had the unique experience of living in Hawaii during the 80s, where he developed a fluency in Pidgin Hawaiian slang. However, when he moved to California, he faced difficulties as his new peers struggled to understand his unique way of speaking. This led to misunderstandings and false assumptions about his abilities, with some even suggesting he had a learning disability.
Despite these challenges, Eddie was determined to prove himself and break free from the confines of special education. He recognized the privilege of being healthy and without disabilities, motivating him to persevere in his studies through elementary, junior high, and high school. Financial struggles also shaped his journey, with Eddie and his brother Elmer relying on hustle and resourcefulness to ensure they had enough money for lunch each day.
High school presented its own set of obstacles for Eddie, as he made some questionable choices that resulted in his expulsion. However, he didn't let this setback define him. Through home studies and the support of his family, Eddie completed his assignments and eventually graduated, even with the help of his brother Elmer who took a math test on his behalf.
After high school, Eddie embarked on a new adventure when he traveled to the Philippines with his grandmother. This journey exposed him to a different way of life, filled with calamities, floods, and challenging living conditions. However, he embraced these experiences as they allowed him to connect with his extended family and appreciate the value of resilience and adaptability.
Upon returning to America, Eddie faced difficulties in finding his path. With the support of his parents, he continued his education and enrolled in various courses through the regional occupational program. His determination to better himself led him to train in multiple healthcare fields, including medical assisting, surgical technology, anesthesia technology, and medical laboratory technology. It was during his time working in the lab that Eddie discovered his innate talent for phlebotomy.
Eddie realized that he possessed a unique gift—the ability to draw blood from patients with a gentle touch, making them feel comfortable and at ease. His patients often left with a smile on their faces, reassured that they were in the hands of a skilled and compassionate professional. Eddie's genuine desire to connect with others and treat them like family set him apart in his field.
Now, after more than 20 years of experience, Eddie is ready to share his skills with the public, especially those who are unable to access healthcare facilities due to health concerns or limited mobility. With his mobile phlebotomy business model, Eddie aims to bring his expertise directly to those in need, providing them with the care and attention they deserve. His goal is to bless others with his God-given talent and make a positive impact on their lives.
Eddie Gaviola's journey is a testament to the power of resilience, determination, and the ability to find one's true calling in the face of adversity. Through his mobile phlebotomy service, he hopes to bring comfort, care, and professionalism to individuals who may otherwise struggle to access essential healthcare services.
